UniCare HSA Plans

UniCare is a rock solid health insurance company and they offer competitively-priced HSA-compatible health plans for Illinois residents.  These plans are very popular.

When you enroll in a UniCare High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), you become eligible to contribute to a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account (HSA).  You can contract with any HSA administrator you choose, but UniCare has established a partnership with JPMorgan Chase, which UniCare has identified as a superior HSA administrator.

UniCare offers four distinct HSA-Compatible benefit designs.  UniCare's "Original" HSA-compatible option provides outstanding benefits at an excellent price for such a nice plan.  For those who want minimum cost and are willing to assume additional financial risk, Plan 3, with a maximum deductible, merits consideration.

UniCare's HSA-compatible Plan 2 provides something of a compromise between the great benefits of the "Original" plan and the low cost of Plan 3.

BCBSIL- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois HSA

When you enroll in a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois HSA-Compatible Health Plan, you become eligible to contribute to a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account (HSA).  You can contract with any HSA administrator you choose, but Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois can conveniently initiate the process of opening an HSA with Mellon Financial.

Assurant Health is one the nation's leading providers of individual health insurance policies. Assurant Health is at the forefront of Health Savings Account (HSA) product development, offering popular HSA-compatible High-Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs) integrated with HSA administration services.

Assurant Optional Pregnancy Benefit
The Assurant Health High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) includes a routine pregnancy benefit option, which has a 270-day conception waiting period.  However, pricing for this option is not particularly enticing.
